Children’s Services
About this home
A warm and supportive children’s residential home in Smethwick, designed for young people aged 14–18 with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions and mental health and associated needs. The home offers seven individual self-contained living areas, each with a bedroom, wet room, kitchen, and lounge/diner, alongside a shared lounge, garden, and enrichment room. We aim to provide a safe, nurturing, and family-like environment where every young person can thrive and build the skills needed for adulthood.
Support services
We provide 24/7, person-centred support delivered by a highly skilled and compassionate team.
We work to the PERMA model of care also known as the model of happiness. This supports the young people to enhance their wellbeing and resilience through positive emotion, engagement, relationships, meanings and accomplishment. Our approach is trauma-informed, to create safe and supportive environments that help young people affected by trauma to feel safe and develop trusting relationships.
Each young person has a tailored care plan and access to therapeutic input, education support, and practical guidance to help them build resilience and confidence.
What we offer
We offer safe, stable, and consistent care alongside opportunities for growth. This includes support with education, life skills, emotional wellbeing, and developing independence. Young people are encouraged to take part in a wide range of hobbies, sports, and creative activities, while also being supported to maintain family connections and cultural or religious practices.
Lifestyle
Combining structure with opportunities for choice and independence. Young people can enjoy communal time together, personal hobbies, and local youth activities. With team member support, they are encouraged to make positive decisions, explore their talents, and celebrate achievements while learning vital life skills for the future.
